PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND RESOURCE
- Aura Electric Inc. considers every contract to be a top priority. Our company has worked on many projects and we understand the great opportunities that every project consists of. On this note, our company will commit its most valuable resources to the task.
Aura Electric Inc. has many skilled project managers who have been trained up through the industry. A.E.I. feels that it is very important to have complete knowledge of the electrical industry, before one becomes a project manager. This is why Aura Electrical Inc. promotes foremen, general foremen, and project managers within the company to assure the knowledge of the industry.
Our project managers do attend several courses such as NECA (National Electrical Contractors Association) Electrical Supervision, NECA Basic Estimating, NECA Advanced Estimating, and NECA Change Orders of the Industry. All of our foremen and project managers have run projects of similar size.
1.ааааа Our local office includes estimators, project managers, finance officer, office manager, communication and security designers, electricians and technicians who are all in house.

2.ааааа When it comes to the multiple project and multi-tasking projects within and with subcontractors, our company again uses its organization resources. We feel that communication is the most important organizing tool. The most common communication for A.E.I. is e-mail. We feel that it is the best source of communication since it leaves a paper trail. We will communicate with a customer to coordinate install time, with suppliers for material, with inspectors to keep them in the loop, and with project managers on status of projects. Our accounting office also acts as a backup plan for scheduling and executing of projects. The accounting offices can Уred flagФ projects when completion is near, and when completion is final. Our office management then will inquire the status of a project when a Уred flagФ appears. A.E.I.'s operations manager, will constantly oversee process and execution. This contract will also have a weekly meeting with all parties involved to talk about workload, safety, and coordination.
A.E.I. will ensure the same communication, progress, and execution will occur with all subcontractors. Our philosophy is to take a big task and break it down to a small task!!
3.ааааа A.E.I currently has a stable workforce of 15 to 18 employees and plans to ramp up through out the year. We typically ramp up to 30 employees during our peak months. Aura Electric Inc. is affiliated with Northern New Mexico Independent Contractors Inc., which allows our company to acquire qualified technicians quickly if the need arises. Aura Electric Inc. is able to pull together its man power, so that it can easily start work releases with a 48 hour notice. A.E.I. has several vehicles stocked and ready to perform, to ensure efficient execution of project tasks.

- In order to become an employee of Aura Electric Inc for field personnel or management, a qualified test must be taken prior to hiring. This helps our company obtain qualified personnel. The applicant must also have prior schooling in electrical theory, before the applicant is hired. All of our employees have graduated or are participating in a 4 to 5 year training program.
- Aura ElectricТs Project management priority is to ensure that all the projects run smoothly. This requires identification, organization, planning, execution, and finalizing. Typically the steps we follow are:
- Receive work request
- Identify work request by entering data of request into Quick Books
- Communicate by e-mailing the order of material, contacting customer to coordinate the best time for scheduling using Microsoft Project, communicate with A.E.I. field technician and subcontractor regarding tasks and safety concerns. Field technician then communicates with the project inspector.
- Field technicians execute installation and acquire customer signature if available, and notifies inspector once completed.
- Project manager contacts the customers project manager to inform status of project, turns work request back to the office manager who enters final data, the provides one copy to customers project manager, and one copy to customers billing along with certified payroll reports.
- аAura Electric Inc welcomes the opportunity to estimate that project before commencement of work. It helps demonstrate are estimation capabilities. It produces and estimate or a budget up front and take away for the guesswork. It also eliminates Уsticker shock syndromeФ A.E.I.Тs estimating system is very accurate, and the head estimator has been employed with A.E.I. for 15 years. A.E.I. can also put a contingency on estimate to ensure that the total project costs do not exceed the estimate.
